Thanks

What can I say? I have to really, really thank Keith Grimmer, VP8CMT and his wife Marilyn for allowing me free use of their house during my stay in Stanley. This made it exceptionally easy and comfortable for me to run a 6m DXpedition from the Falklands. If you would like thank Keith as well, click here to send an e-mail. And, if you would like to encourage Neil, VP8AWU to get active on 6m, click here to send an e-mail.

Keith, VP8CMT, wiring up the replacement rotator that I blew up!

I also have to thank Ian, M0BCG for his sterling work in convincing Keith that he should try 6m and liaising with him for use of his shack prior to me leaving the UK.

Thanks to Steve Baker, General Manager of Cable & Wireless who through inviting me to the Falklands, allowed me to realise several long-standing ambitions. Steve is now also responsible for St Helena and Ascension Island as well, so who knows what might happen!

Lastly, thanks to all you guys who deluged me with transmissions when I arrived - there's nothing better than receiving a continual stream of "thanks for the new country" comments! For those of you in northern climes that I missed there will always be the next time - and there will be one I can assure you.
